Diabetes Care Group (DCG) collaborates with employers to help reduce incidence of diabetes and comorbidities among employees. We utilize unique clinical and business models to achieve these results, and provide our patients with the tools they need to manage their risk of diabetes and diagnosed diabetes, effectively and efficiently.

While focused on diabetes, Diabetes Care Group produces comparable outcomes and results across other key measures of metabolic health, including systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, low-density lipoprotein, high-density lipoprotein, triglycerides, and Body Mass Index.  The improvements in the other metabolic outcomes have independent economic value in addition to the reductions in other health care costs resulting from the effective management of diabetes.


  • Cost savings are the result of improved healthcare behaviors (decreased inpatient and outpatient utilization).  Primary Care utilization does NOT decrease.
  • These savings occurred with tremendous improvements in clinical outcomes in all areas of metabolic disease (glucose, HTN, lipids) and net weight loss.
  • Drug costs go up ($1,800 net), due to increased compliance; program costs include all clinical performance bonuses.
  • Diabetes Care Group expects about 50% net claims reduction for clients independent of initial PMPY.
